Day 54 - Beerwah to Byron Bay
Lunch Break at Coolangatta
We stopped at Coolangatta for our lunch. There was a fantastic sandy beach with the skyscrapers of Brisbane in the background.
Got to Byron Bay around 1 pm and booked into the Dolphins Motel.... a much superior motel to its close namesake, the Dolphin Motel, in Tofino. Delphine would have been much more positively impressed here. The beach was another huge expanse with fine sand that squaked when you walked on it. There were young nubile gals in bikinis and athletic fellows everywhere - it seems to be a winter break.
