Nothing supernatural associated with Spirit Island - the original famous photograph was said to capture the 'spirit' of the lake. Of course there is a tale of Indian lovers separated because of warring tribes and the Indian brave who returned to the island every year in hopes of finding his true love and to keep the spirit of their love alive.
