Some MIDI Files

You should now be listening to some background music. If not, it means that you have Netscape configured incorrectly. Make sure that you have placed the file "QT MIDI Plugin" into the Plugins folder in your Netscape folder. If you are using Netscape 3.0 or higher, you need to configure Netscape to use the plugin. Go to the "General Preferences" menu, and then select "Helpers" in the window that appears. "QT MIDI Plugin" supports 4 different kinds of MIME types: Find these MIME types in the list that appears in the window. Double click on each MIME type listed above to configure it to use "QT MIDI Plugin." Click the "Plug-in:" button in the "Handled by" part of the dialog. Select "QT MIDI Plugin" in the popup menu beside it. Now, reload this page and you should hear the music!

This is a piano piece called "Sparks," I think. Don't remember where I got it though. This is an example of a "hidden" plug-in. As far as I know, Netscape doesn't support hidden plug-ins yet (although they have an API for it.). However, QT MIDI Plugin can simulate a hidden plug-in for you! If you set the Height and Width of the plugin to anything less than or equal to 2, it will be a hidden plugin, and you won't see anything on the screen.

When you are done on this page, click here to view some embedded plug-ins.
