| Haida Gwaii & Inside Passage - 2022-08
Mortuary totem poles at K'uuna Llnagaay. Emily Carr had visited this village and painted these totem poles in the day. Now the poles had fallen freeing the spirit of the dead chief. We saw remains of long houses with sunken sections. James, our guide, had been a watchman. The trip back was a bit rough as we bounced off the tops of 2-foot waves. |
