| Haida Gwaii & Inside Passage - 2022-08
On the beach at K'uuna Llnagaay - dull day with very light rain. Emily Carr had visited this village and painted totem poles in the day. Now the poles - mortuary poles - had fallen. We saw remains of long houses with sunken sections. James, our guide, had been a watchman. The trip back was a bit rough as we bounced off the tops of 2-foot waves. |
