| Haida Gwaii & Inside Passage - 2022-08
Arrival at K'uuna Llnagaay We departed in the early morning for our day trip to the old Haida village at K'uuna. Emily Carr had visited this village and painted totem poles in the day. Now the poles - mortuary poles - had fallen. We saw remains of long houses with sunken sections. James, our guide, had been a watchman. The trip back was a bit rough as we bounced off the tops of 2-foot waves. |
