Photo Date 2013-06-17, 10:12:30 Greece Holiday 2013-06-17 Naxos Bus Tour #2 This tour took us to Danakos (oil press & pottery studio), Chalki, Filoti (drive by), Aperanthou, (lunch), and Apollonas (kouros). Scenes at Bazeos Tower. We were supposed to go into the building and see some sculptures - but it was closed Mondays. In the centre you can see a tower built in Byzantine times - it was disguised so it did not look like a church. It was the Monastery of Agios Elefterios, which was used as a secret school during the Ottoman Rule. |
